Dinner for breakfast? Meatloaf and orange juice?

Comments

I hadn't heard about it, but I have heard the general principle before - eat most in the morning, then a lighter lunch, then a very light dinner. The idea being that you frontload with calories at the beginning of the day (before you are most active) as opposed to at night (when you just go to sleep with all those calories in your belly).

Of course if you are a night owl or raver, adjust accordingly.

Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.- Adelle Davis
it makes sense though: largest meal first then supposedly smallest meal last. if we eat the largest meal first thing in the morning, then we have the whole day to burn it off. say, you have meatload, salad, bread, etc for breakfast, you'd have the whole day to burn that off. then for dinner, all u
ll have is like cereal and milk-- that's much easier to burn off with low key activities at night than meatloaf and bread.

i do agree with u... i don't know if i could have dinner in the morning-- so much food for such an early time in the day.
But what i really want to know is; when's dessert? I mean I could eat chocolate cake for breakfast with no problem!
Seems to me that you have the right idea! Dessert first, then dinner, lunch and breakfast ... complete reversal!

Hi everyone,

I am glad to see you are interested in The Reverse Diet. The tag is quite catchy- "eat dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner". Agree? While you do not necessarily have to eat dinner foods for breakfast and vise versa, itis necessary to reverse your caloric distribution and content of the foods you consume. Eat BIG, Medium, and small meals during you day and be sure to chose healthy foods that are unrefinded and over processed.

Heidi and I have gone to great lengths to provide the 4 important tools needed for successful weight loss and keeping it off. They are Education, Skill Building, Motivation, and Support. While Heidi shows you why it works I show you how to work it into your daily life. It's been 7 years since I won the battle of the bulge and the only thing I have to remember those days are before pictures I'd love to burn!!!

Thanks for the comment. Interesting concept, and I'm intrigued...

cheers.

When we were little, my parents were supporters of this self-supporting ministry where they tried to cook or grow all the foods they ate. They ate backwards, with breakfast for dinner and dinner for breakfast. They ate really icky bland food to my little 6-year-old tummy, though and that's what I remember. :D

I think that I'd have a hard time with preparing more food in the morning, that would be the hardest part. I'm used to getting stuff ready late in the afternoon if I'm cooking dinner, not getting up so I can put baked potatoes in the oven ;) I guess that could be where an oven timer would help, to set it to start cooking so you'd wake up smelling the meatloaf and be excited about it :)
Since I have to eat the same shit for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I guess I'm not eligible for this diet. Not that I need a diet, I'm at my perfect weight. At least my mommy gives me Yum Yum's at night to break up the routine.
[this is good]

I read this book, it is NOT effective because you eat breakfast for dinner, dinner for breakfast, but rather because you consume a low calorie diet, ban sugar, alcohol and other fattening things.

This woman, the author is a complete lying nut job and I will be anyone that in time, this will come out. There is NO way that she lost 172 pounds in 9 months. But don't worry, she will come on this blog in a matter of hours and say "where did you get that from?" as though it is a defense, when it says it in her book, on her site and she lied to Pat Roberton on the 700 club and said it. She goes from saying 150 pounds in 9 months to 172 to from a size 22 to a four.

There is NO way that a woman who lose 172 pounds would win a bikini contest--atleast without having had MAJOR reconstructive surgery/skin tugs.

She says her daughters saved her when she fainted or something at a SPORTS party at 9 AM at her house. Name a televised sporting event in January that starts at 9--and one that you have a party for, AND then tell me why a house full of adults, her young daughters were holding rags on her head and NO mention of any adults.

This woman is a lying opportunitist who is praying on the pocket books of fat people trying to claim she is one of us. She isn't and NEVER was. There are NO pictures of her that show her "fat" only with tacky big hair and a black outfit against a dark background. She is a liar.

the only thing that gets reversed on this diet is her story.

What is it trish?

172 pounds in 9 months?

150 in 9 months?

Where is the PROOF of the bikini contest, close up pictures of stretch marks, etc.

CAn you sleep at night?

And, it is hysterical that for every negative or questioning post, you show up and berate the person and give some gooey "giggly puffs" and oh squiggles where did that come from? jeepers, etc. cornball answers.

YOUR 15 minutes are UP.

Yikers...

Well I haven't read the book, and something triggered you to buy or at least read the book. So I'm curious if it was something in the book that made you change your mind or outlook on the theory? Anything in particular?

The hype made me buy it, the Life magazine article specifically. I had gotten her emails for a while and just didn't 'like' her or believe her story, but with the reputable people in the article, I thought "maybe" but after reading it, too many holes are in her story and the bottom line, it is calorie reduction, not reversing, so the premise is nothing but a "fad" and a lie. She is NOT telling the truth, I am sure of it.

Look at her pictures. In the before/afters http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/2005/0301/4240477_240X180.jpg

The ONE undeniable truth is that she looks awesome in her bikini, BUT where's the contest results, credibility and was it just like at the local pool......but more importantly than that, there is NO way she was 290 pounds in the "before" picture, NO WAY.

Here's a 300 pound woman via google search for "300 pound woman"

http://www.emediawire.com/prfiles/2006/12/25/493891/sierrabefore1.jpg

http://www.skinnymewithgreentea.com/ (same woman, says she lost 170 on green tea--doubtful, but the point is, if she was 300 and Trisha was too but lost 170--Trish way skinner than this gals 'after')

Demand that Trisha show pictures. There isn't ONE picture of her 'before'after' on her website or book. WHY?

Legality!

she is lying and doesn't want the liability when she is exposed.

Trish, what's wrong? no defense?
