Dear Homeless People...

Comments

Its definitely not just homeless people. I've seen people on multiple occasions, open their car doors (some while parked, some while waiting for a light) and push garbage out on to the street. It makes me want to bury their front door with garbage.
That's exactly why I HATE Scarlett Johansson. I saw in a magazine a shot of her opening her car door and placing an empty ice cream container on the street.

I hate her.
Although it isn't the homeless, maybe the rest of us can cut an unspoken deal with them.

"I give you my pocket change when requested. In exchange you pick up all of the visible trash in the area and toss it in a proper trash can."

Teach a man to fish....=)

I'd like to know why people litter, too. Is it out of laziness? Is it just because they can without having to face any immediate consequences? Even something as simple as flicking a cigarette out the window makes me angry. If only people would try a bit harder.

I didn't think homeless people were responsible for it, but then again, I don't live in a big enough city to judge. I see all people throw their trash onto the streets, argh.
I think it's more thoughtlessness than laziness. I've seen litterbugs who are sitting/standing right next to a trash can, and they'll still throw their trash on the grass/street/floor/etc. Not because they missed throwing it into the trash, but because they just seemingly plain don't care.

Someone I know told me that he used to throw away his trash, but then he had this epiphany - that if he threw it out his car, someone would have to pick it up, it would create work. He thinks littering is okay because it gives someone a job. It was hard not to slap him and start a scene in the restaurant where we were having lunch.

That was not very nice of Ms. Johansson. For proper punishment, she should be forced to clean my house....to add to the humiliation, I vote that she has to do it nude. That will teach her!
